Zusammenfassung:HIV/AIDS is like an ever-shifting kaleidoscope, especially with reference to a population like the truckers community where, as one unravels every layer of social reality newer nuances come to light. With this in mind the paper tries to bring forth some realisations with reference to treatment and care which might play a significant role in understanding why, bio-medical treatment and care being made available to the population has not found whole hearted acceptance as yet. This paper utilises a few case-studies to highlight some issues with respect to trucker's social life which point towards the fact that creating a holistic approach to influencing this population will require an in-depth understanding of the population with reference to its fears, apprehensions, medical preferences, social understanding and support system.
