|a Am 19. Maerz 2010 veranstalteten der Paul Singer Verein und die Friedrich-Ebert-Stiftung eine Fachtagung zu den Wurzeln der deutschen Demokratie. Ausgangspunkt waren die Tage der Maerzrevolution in Berlin 1848. Am Beispiel des Friedhofs der Maerzgefallenen diskutierten 16 Referenten, darunter Professor Ruediger Hachtmann, Professor Robert Traba und der Berliner Landeskonservator Professor Joerg Haspel den Stellenwert von emanzipatorischen Bewegungen in der deutschen Geschichte.
