Zusammenfassung: | Abstract Following a short introduction to the various political uses of the concept of radicalism, the article sketches out the ways political scientists have conceptualized and modelled the process of “radicalization”. These models have difficulties clarifying the relation between “cognitive radicalization” and “behavioral radicalization” and explaining the internal dynamics and points of transition in the process of radicalization. Using the historical example of fascist movements and regimes, the article seeks to overcome these conceptual weaknesses by undertaking a praxeological analysis of the multifaceted nature of fascist radicalization. |
