|a Yunnanopilia longistaminea is a unique flavor forest vegetable, yet improving its growth and nutritional value continues to be a challenge. This study explores the combined effects of pear tree twig biochar (PTB) and exogenous methyl jasmonate (MeJA) on the growth, physiological, biochemical, and nutritional characteristics of Y. longistaminea, as well as on post-harvest soil dynamics. Present study was carried out in a greenhouse using factorial design with 2 levels of PTB (0 % and 3 % w/w) in the soil and 4 levels of MeJA concentrations i.e., 0, 50, 100, and 200 µM foliar spary. One-year-old healthy seedlings were planted in the pots containing amended soil and received MeJA as a foliar application. The objective was to explore how PTB and MeJA interact to improve Y. longistaminea growth, nutritional quality, and post-harvest soil health under controlled environment. Our results showed that combined use of PTB and exogenous MeJA significantly improved the plant growth, chlorophyll content, and antioxidative defense in Y. longistaminea seedlings, as well as post-harvest soil characteristics. Especially, the combined treatment with 100 µM MeJA resulted in the most significant improvements in plant growth, physiobiochemical attributes, and nutritional quality. These findings suggest that the synergistic use of pear twig biochar in soil and exogenous methyl jasmonate on leaves effectively enhances growth, stress resilience, and soil sustainability in Y. longistaminea, offering valuable insights into eco-friendly agricultural practices
