Spatial analysis for symbolic data is relatively underexplored. To fill the gap, this paper proposes a statistical framework for spatial interval-valued data (SIVD) analysis. We provide geostatistical methods for spatial prediction, predictive performance measure for prediction assessment, and visualization for mapping SIVD.
