This nanotransistor probe allows digitized reporting of dynamic maturation at single-organelle resolution over time. This nanotechnology platform offers a powerful tool in fundamental studies of organelle biology, cell signaling in diseases characterized by pH dysregulation in the endosomes or lysosomes
