I was told to stop taking my daily betablocker (Coreg)before a myocardial perfusion test. I was hospitalized with chest pain and a bout of atrial fibrillation. I have cardiomyopathy and was prescribed amiodarone and warfarin, but I stopped taking them when I learned of their side effects. Was it wrong to stop taking the Coreg?
