|a We present novel multichannel methods in two target research areas. The first area is color image modeling. Multichannel AR models have been developed and applied to color texture segmentation and synthesis. The second area is color image equalization, which is performed on the three RGB channels simultaneously, using the joint PDF. Alternatively, equalization at the HSI domain is performed in order to avoid changes in digital image hue. A parallel algorithm is proposed for color image histogram calculation and equalization
