Zusammenfassung:A clinical study was performed on 75 patients with untreated prostatic cancer who had been hospitalized over a 5-year period. The age range was 52 to 90 years (median age: 72.3 years). The main complaint was dysuria in 73% of the cases. Thirty-two (43%) patients were smokers, and complications included bladder cancer in two and rectal cancer in one. The stages were T1 in 18 cases, T2 in 10, T3 in 29 and T4 in 18, 28 cases were G1, 29 were G2, 11 were G3 and seven were G4. Among the tumor markers, PA sensitivity was the highest, but all markers showed high sensitivities in the T3 and T4 cases. Endocrinological treatment was performed on 74 patients. Survival rates showed significant differences only for the T and M classifications; no significant differences in survival rates according to the G classification, age of the patient or tumor markers were observed. Radiotherapy was suggested to be related to improvements in the prognosis only in patients with histological grading of G2
