According to the response criteria defined by the Japanese UTI committee, the clinical effectiveness in 8 patients with complicated urinary tract infections regarded evaluable was excellent in 2, moderate in 4 and poor in 2, the overall efficacy rate being 75.0%. Only 1 of the 13 patients studied, developed temporary diarrhea as a drug related adverse reaction
