Zusammenfassung: | For the liberalistic conception the egoistic pursuit of individual interests is the sufficient condition for the common good. Spinoza’s idea of individual perfection as the basis of social cooperation belongs to another tradition which can be reconciled with the Christian idea of the societas perfecta.
