The algebraic hull of the Kontsevich—Zorich cocycle
We compute the algebraic hull of the Kontsevich-Zorich cocycle over any GL2 +(ℝ) invariant subvariety of the Hodge bundle, and derive from this finiteness results on such subvarieties.
