|a A 19 mm standard length short bigeye, Pristigenys alta, was collected in a bottom oyster dredge near the Beaufort Inlet sea buoy, North Carolina. Comments describe its behavior and life and death coloration. Thus, a benthic occurrence and orange-red coloration is documented for a size smaller than previously known for the species.
