|a Plain-weave pointed- and rounded-toe sandals made by the Anasazi of the American Southwest have received only limited attention by archaeologists. This has restricted their use in investigating issues of chronology, cultural interaction, and ideology. This article presents the analysis of 75 plain-weave sandals from Antelope Cave, Arizona, discusses their physical attributes and the techniques used in their construction, and compares this assemblage with other examples of plain-weave pointed- and rounded-toe sandals from the northern Southwest. As the comparative literature grows, researchers will be able to use this medium to more effectively investigate the past. Muy poco es sabido de la llanura teje señalado y sandalias de redondeado-dedo construidas por el Anasazi del Suroeste norteamericano. Esta falta del conocimiento ha prohibido su uso a investigar los asuntos de la cronología, de la interacción cultural, y de la ideología. Este artículo presenta los datos producidos del análisis de 75 sandalias de la Cueva de Antílope, Arizona. Las características individuales de los artefactos y las técnicas utilizados en su construcción son dadas, y una comparación entre esta colección y otros ejemplos de la llanura teje señalado y sandalias de redondeado-dedo son hechas. Es esperado que como la literatura comparada creciera, los investigadores podrán utilizar este medio para más investigar efectivamente el pasado.
