Zusammenfassung: | Conditional plausibility methods are developed for the examination of a reduction from one decomposable model to another decomposable model in a contingency table. It is shown, by a slight extension of a result of Sundberg (1975), that it suffices to consider the hypothesis of homogeneity in a one-dimensional table and the hypothesis of independence in a two-dimensional table. Conditional plausibility estimates and tests are derived for these two hypotheses and a general procedure for studying the plausibility surface is suggested. A concrete three-dimensional table is analysed by the derived plausibility methods. |
