| Zusammenfassung: | This paper is a study of the function and frequency of vessel types found at pastoral habitation sites in the Negev Highlands during the Early Bronze Age. Using inter-assemblage comparisons, the pottery from the habitation sites of mobile pastoralists in the Negev Highlands and in central and southern Sinai are examined vis-à-vis the ceramic assemblages found at Tel Arad in the northern Negev and Sheikh Muhsen in southern Sinai. The ceramic assemblages described below are tested using hypotheses drawn from Juli (1978) and Cribb (1991:76). The frequency and type of pottery present at the sites used in this study provide additional information on the exchange relationships between Tel Arad and the inhabitants of the Negev Highlands and southern Sinai. מאמר זה עוסק בשימושים ושכיחויות של טיפוסי כלים קרמיים שנמצאו באתרי מגורים של רועים—נוודים מתקופת הברונזה הקדומה בהר הנגב. נערכו השוואות בין מכלולים אלה, כמו גם מכלולים של רועים—נוודים ממרכז ודרום סיני, לעומת המכלולים הקרמיים מתל ערד שבצפון הנגב ושייח' מוחסיין בדרום סיני. המכלולים הקרמיים המתוארים כאן נבחנו לאור ההיפותזות שהועלו על-יד ג'ולי (1978) וקריב (1991). השכיחות והטיפוסים של קרמיקה שנמצאו באתרים אלה מוסיפים נדבך נוסף של מידע אודות מהות יחסי סחר-החליפין בין תל ערד (הארץ הנושבת) ובין הנוודים של הר הנגב ודרום סיני. |
