|a Hauptmotiv für die Migration vieler junger Nigerianerinnen nach Europa ist der Wunsch, ihre Familien in Nigeria finanziell zu unterstützen. Wer auf dem Landweg das europäische Festland zu erreichen sucht, verbringt oft Monate bis Jahre on the road - eine Zeit, in der neue, zumeist flüchtige Bindungen entstehen und viele Migrantinnen schwanger werden. Obwohl nicht immer Ergebnis freiwillig eingegangener Verbindungen und zumeist keineswegs geplant, können (ungeborene) Kinder eine entscheidende Rolle für das Weiterkommen nach Europa spielen: Sie stellen heute auf beiden Seiten des Estrecho relatives Schutzschild und 'Papier' dar und mindern so das Risiko einer Abschiebung. In Europa übernehmen dann viele Migrantinnen in doppelter Hinsicht die Rolle von Alleinversorgerinnen, denn sie sorgen für unterwegs oder im Zielland geborene Kinder und unterstützen zusätzlich ihre Familie in Nigeria. Indem der vorliegende Artikel sich den neuen Formen familiärer Bindungen zwischen Herkunfts-, Transit- und (vorläufigem) Zielland widmet, ist er zugleich ein Beitrag zur Untersuchung des Wandels familiärer Strukturen im Kontext der Migration. /// Many young Nigerian women's main reason for migrating to Europe lies in the desire to support their families back home in Nigeria. For those who travel to Europe overland it means being on the road for months or even several years. In this transitional newstage, new relationships - often highly provisional - develop, and many migrants get pregnant. Although their (unborn) children are often not the result of relationships based on mutual consent nor planned, they nonetheless may play a crucial role in being able to continue the journey: These days they represent a kind of protection and 'papers' and, thereby, reduce the risk for their mothers of being deported. Being mostly single mothers, soon after reaching Europe the young women take on the role of double breadwinners: On the one hand, they have to provide for their children who were born on the road or in the country of destination, on the other hand, they have to support their families in Nigeria. In analysing these new forms of family relationships that span from the country of origin to the transit country and the (provisional) destination country, the author also contributes to research on the dynamics of family structures in the context of migration./// Si de nombreuses jeunes Nigérianes tentent de migrer vers l'Europe, c'est principalement pour pouvoir soutenir financièrement leur famille au Nigeria. Celles qui cherchent à atteindre le continent européen par la voie terrestre, passent souvent des mois ou des années on the road - un temps au cours duquel de nouvelles relations, souvent ephémères, volontaires ou non, s'établissent et de nombreuses émigrées tombent enceintes. Même si les enfants ainsi conçus n'ont nullement été souhaités, ils peuvent jouer un rôle décisif sur la route vers l'Europe: ils représentent aujourd'hui une protection relative et un 'papier' sur les deux rives de l''Estrecho' et réduisent ainsi le risque d'une expulsion. Arrivées en Europe, les émigrées se trouvent alors doublement chargées du rôle d'unique soutien financier de la famille: celui des enfants nés en route ou dans le pays de destination et celui de la famille au Nigeria. L'article étudie les nouvelles formes de relations familiales entre pays d'origine, de transit et de destination, il est à ce titre également une contribution à l'étude du changement des structures familiales dans le contexte de migration.
