| Zusammenfassung: | Ken Saro-Wiwa is known as the founder of the Movement for the Survival of the Ogoni People and for his talents as a political organiser and agitator. But he was also a writer and a TV producer. This article brings these two strands of activity together to show the unity of intent in his politics and his fiction. The article begins with a summary of the UN report on his trial and execution, in order to put these in a proper legal perspective. This is followed by a brief outline of Saro-Wiwa's participation in government and administration, in order to provide a contrast to his later political activities - as 'agitator' - and to situate both in the wider perspective of his life as a whole. The core of the article examines some of his better-known writings, showing how they originate in, and express his interest in, politics, the environment and the people of Nigeria. Satire is his favourite literary weapon and he wields it well; Nigeria and Nigerians are the main target but, despite all his criticisms, he loved his country. Following a short assessment of Saro-Wiwa as a writer, the article concludes that his activities - both political and literary - were an attempt to create dialogue. /// Ken Saro-Wiwa est connu comme étant le fondateur du Mouvement pour la Survie du Peuple Ogoni ainsi que pour ses dons d'organisateur et d'agitateur politique. Mais il fût aussi écrivain et producteur de télévision. Cet article assemble ces deux domaines d'activité pour montrer l'unité d'intention dans sa politique et dans ses créations litteraires. II commence par un résumé du rapport de I 'ONU concemant son procès et son exécution afin de les placer dans une perspective de droit. Ce résumé est suivi d'une esquisse de la participation de Saro-Wiwa au gouvernement et dans l' administration, afin de souligner le contraste avec ses activités politiques ultérieures - en tant qu' "agitateur" -, et de situer ces deux aspects dans la perspective plus large de sa vie, formant un tout. Quelques-uns de ses écrits les plus connu font ensuite l'objet d'une analyse montrant qu'ils trouvent leur fondement l'nterêt que Saro-Wiwa leur portait dans à la politique, à l'environnement et au peuple du Nigeria. La satire est une de ses armes favorites et il savait la manier: le Nigeria et les Nigérians en sont la cible principale mais, en dépit de ses critiques, il aimait son pays. Apres une courte appréciation de Saro- Wiwa comme écrivain, l' article conclut que ses activités - politique et littéraire - étaient une tentative pour créer le dialogue.
