Swedish guidelines for type 1 diabetes and pregnancy outcomes: A nationwide descriptive study of consensus and adherence

• Sweden had 29 different guidelines for type 1 diabetes during pregnancy and labor with no consensus. • Medical staff’s adherence to the three local guidelines in Stockholm was low. • A national guideline might improve the health of pregnant women with type 1 diabetes and their fetuses.
