Variables associated with insulin production in persons with type 2 diabetes treated with multiple daily insulin injections

• Several variables are related to insulin production in persons with T2D treated with MDI. • Longer T2D duration and more glycaemic variability is associated with lower insulin production. • Degree of insulin production is an essential factor to determine whether CGM/FGM is needed.
