Attitudes, health lifestyle behaviors and cardiometabolic risk factors among relatives of individuals with type 2 diabetes mellitus

• Subjects living with a relative with T2DM were more likely to be overweight. • Lifestyle behaviors did not differ between those with or without a T2DM relative. • Our findings imply relevant diabetes-awareness gaps in relatives of T2DM patients.
