Dry eyes in patients with diabetes mellitus
• There is a high prevalence of dry eye in patients with Diabetes Mellitus. • Dry eyes in DM are more common in older patients, in type 2 Diabetes and in those using metformin. • Glycemic control does not correlate with tear volume measured by Schirmer test.
