Rezension: Der US-Historiker bezeichnet den umstrittenen, jedoch charismatischen Sicherheitsberater und früheren US-Aussenminister (hier zuletzt "Weltordnung", 2014) unverblümt als Verbrecher, auf dessen Konto hunderttausende Opfer (auch zivile) mehrerer Kriege gehen, und steht damit in der Tradition bereits früherer Publikationen, in den USA vor allem von S. Hersh, einem erbitterten Widersacher Kissingers ("The Price of Power", 1983, nicht übersetzt), hierzulande u.a. von W. Dietl ("Schwarzbuch Weisses Haus", 2004). Aus heutiger Sicht der Dinge, so der Autor, hat Kissingers gegen alle Regeln verstossende Politik jenseits jeglicher Moral, beginnend 1969 unter R. Nixon, den Boden bereitet für das Aufkommen der Neuen Rechten und den ausgeprägten Militarismus der USA, der unter dem Deckmantel des weltweiten Kampfes für Demokratie und gegen Terrorismus fungiert, und nach den Gräueln von Abu Ghraib (s. S. Hersh: "Die Befehlskette", 2004) auch für das Aufkommen des Islamischen Staats. Brisanter Titel, in den USA umstritten, bei uns in den Medien auffallend wenig beachtet. (3)
