|a Die regionalgeschichtliche Vergleichsstudie untersucht die Relevanz der karitativen Betreuung des Interzonenverkehrs innerhalb der sozial- und deutschlandpolitischen Gemengelage von 1945 bis 1990. Dabei werden alle Bahnhofsmissionen in Schleswig-Holstein, Niedersachsen, Hessen und Bayern, vor allem aber die sieben Grenzbahnhofsmissionen, betrachtet. Die Stationen boten humanitäre und seelsorgerliche Erstversorgung, wurden von der Bonner Politik gefördert und fügten sich im Rahmen einer positiven Externalisierung des sozialpolitischen Maßnahmenkatalogs in einen gesamtdeutschen Strategieprozess zur Aufrechterhaltung der Wiedervereinigungsperspektive mit ein. Jann-Thorge Thöming ist Sozialreferent und forscht im Bereich der Neueren Geschichte.

|a This comparative study of regional history examines the relevance of charitable care for inter-zonal traffic in the social and German political context from 1945 to 1990, focusing on all "Bahnhofsmissionen" in Schleswig-Holstein, Lower Saxony, Hesse and Bavaria, but especially on the seven closest to the border. They offered humanitarian and pastoral first aid, were supported by Bonn policy and were integrated into a pan-German strategic process to maintain the perspective of reunification as part of a positive externalisation of the social policy catalogue of measures. Jann-Thorge Thöming is a social consultant and researcher in the field of modern history.
