Ethics in the Qurʾān and the Tafsīr Tradition : From the Polynoia of Scripture to the Homonoia of Exegesis

This book considers ethics in the Qurʾān and its interpretive traditions. It argues that whereas the moral world of the Qurʾān is polyphonic, the tafsīr tradition tends to be reductionist.
