CANTILENA, WINILEOD UND ORGANUM: Von der Macht beharrlicher Tradition
An attempt is made to determine what is particular to Germanic (vocal) music when compared to Roman music during the Migration Period. It seems that the Germanic song was derived from instrumental music and was based on rhythm, and sound spaces.
