Auch die internationale Entwicklung wird einbezogen. Neben der unzulänglichen Einleitung und Überblicksaufsätzen von Eckart Conze und Jens Ivo Engels zur Situation in Deutschland und Europa werden Einzelthemen behandelt wie für Deutschland etwa zu Hitler-Putsch, Kommunistengefahr, Ruhrbesatzung, Inflation, aber auch zu Design und Geschlechterpolitik und zur Bildsatire des Simplicissimus. Die ausserdeutsche Situation behandeln Aufsätze zu Türkei und Ukraine, zum Erdbeben in Japan und zur grassierenden Ägyptomanie. Schwarz-Weiss-Abbildungen im Text. Literaturangaben bei den Beiträgen. Keinerlei Begleitinfos vom Verlag. Keine Register. - Ergänzend zur Vielzahl der 2022 erschienenen Monographien zu 1923 (z.B. ID-A 44/22) für gut ausgebaute Bestände. (3) Engelbrecht Boese
