| Zusammenfassung: | L'Autore ripercorre le vicende legate alle ricerche nei fondi documentari dell'Archivio Segreto Vaticano, compiute da singoli studiosi e da missioni di studio dei Paesi dell'Europa del Nord (Norvegia, Danimarca, Svezia, Finlandia, Islanda) fra XVI e XX secolo. Nell'articolo vengono rilevate poi puntualmente, per ciascuna delle dette Nazioni, le migliori produzioni scientifiche di fonti della Santa Sede, relative ai medesimi Paesi e curate da università istituti storici locali. In this article the author reconstructs the history of the researches undertaken in the fonds of the Vatican Secret Archives by single scholars or missions of study coming from North-Europe countries (Norway, Sweden, Iceland, Finland and Denmark) between XVI and XX centuries. In the course of his exposition the author lists the best scientific contributions regarding the edition of historical sources of the Holy See related to the history of the aforementioned nations.
