Isistius plutodus, a New Squaloid Shark from the Gulf of Mexico
Isistius plutodus is described from a single specimen differing notably from the only other species of the genus in the larger size and smaller number of the lower jaw teeth (9-1-9), in proportions (smaller tail and paired fins, and larger second dorsal fin), and in the reduced color pattern.
