|a Februar 1763 – es ist das Datum, welches dem fast sieben Jahre zuvor ausgebrochenen Krieg das erlösende Ende gesetzt hat, per Friedensvertrag, der von den drei Feindmächten Österreich, Preußen und Sachsen auf dem sächsischen Jagd- und Residenzschloss Hubertusburg im Örtchen Wermsdorf ausgehandelt worden ist. Doch was an ein feierliches Event in prachtvoller königlich-kurfürstlicher Kulisse denken lassen mag, hat sich nicht zugetragen, weil, zwei Jahre ist dies her, etwas anderes passiert ist: die Plünderung eben jenes Schlosses. Den Befehl zur Ausführung erteilte Friedrich II. einem seiner „Frey=Bataillone“, das vom „Obrister“ Quintus Icilius kommandiert wurde. Seither gilt dieser den Historikern als der Plünderer von Schloss Hubertusburg.Warum diese Geschichte nicht ganz stimmig ist und wie Quintus Icilius zu einem geachteten Mitbürger mit vielen Kontakten zu Mitstreitern der Aufklärerszene (darunter Anna Louisa Karsch und Gotthold Ephraim Lessing) wurde, wird in diesem zweiten Teil des Recherche-Reports erläutert.
