‘Ausculto praecepta magistri’ in Bede's "De orthographia"

An unrecognized source, the Regula Benedicti, for one of Bede's entries in De orthographia reveals the Anglo-Saxon author's devotion to this particular rule at a time when it was still more normal to combine the practices of various monasteries.
